One of Canada’s oldest cities, Kingston was the first capital of Canada. With its large military history, Kingston is constantly growing in size. Known as the Limestone City, with miles of waterfront on Lake Ontario, and the St. Lawrence River, and the close proximity of smaller bodies of water, who wouldn’t want to live here!
Kingston is well known as the home of talent. The musical groups The Tragically Hip & Ambush, musicians Sarah Harmer, & Georgette Fry, actor Dan Ackroyd, former NHL hockey players Doug Gilmour & Kirk Muller, and famous artists such as Keirstead are all from Kingston.
Easy access to highway 401 and Via Rail, makes Kingston accessible to everyone.
There are also numerous post secondary education facilities in the area. Queen’s University, The Royal Military College, Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics and St. Lawrence College facilitate courses in almost any subject.
Walk, run or bike along the waterfront, cruise or sail the Thousand Islands, share dinner & drinks on one of Kingston’s famous waterfront patios, or take in a show at Kingston’s Grand Theatre, one thing is for sure, there is never a lack of entertainment in Kingston!
